Kaveh Industrial Group and the Energy Recycling Cycle
Kaveh Methanol Petrochemical Complex, aiming to achieve sustainable development goals, improve energy efficiency, and optimize processes, has successfully designed, built, installed, and commissioned over 70 tube-bundle packages at various process points and different elevation levels, relying on the technical knowledge of its experts and domestic execution capabilities. These projects not only represent a significant step toward a circular economy in the industry but also result in an annual saving of over 20 million standard cubic meters of natural gas in the complex’s energy consumption.

Fusel Oil Recovery
In methanol production units, one of the by-products of the distillation process is a complex mixture of alcohols heavier than methanol, known as fusel oil. Separating this mixture requires advanced industrial equipment and high costs. As a result, in Iran, this gas is usually burned as purge gas in burners, which not only wastes a potential source of energy and valuable materials but also leads to additional fuel consumption and environmental pollution. In 2024, Kaveh Methanol Complex, on an industrial scale and relying on domestic technical expertise, successfully designed and built advanced distillation and separation equipment for fusel oil, enabling the efficient recovery of valuable materials from the purge gas.
