Sunlight and wind are natural and inexhaustible resources that are continuously regenerated in the cycle of nature. Unlike fossil fuels, these resources provide sustainable energy while playing a key role in reducing pollutants, combating climate change, and achieving sustainable development. Despite Iran’s considerable potential in renewable energies, particularly solar and wind, the share of these resources in the country’s energy mix remains far below the global average. Kaveh Industrial Group, with a forward-looking understanding of the future of the renewable energy sector, alongside its production of flat glass and crystal tableware, has built solar power plants to supply energy nationwide and installed rooftop solar panels at its factories. These initiatives supply a significant portion of the group’s electricity needs, thereby contributing substantially to industrial sustainability and environmental protection.
Solar Panels at Kaveh Industrial Group
Kaveh Industrial Group, with a forward-looking understanding of the energy industry’s future, entered the field of investment, engineering, and implementation of clean solar and wind renewable power plants across the country in 2023 (1402). In 2024 (1403), a comprehensive vision was set, targeting the development of 3,600 MW of solar power and 2,620 MW of wind power within the group—an amount nearly five times the country’s current total capacity in these two sectors.
